Sometimes, your bag will get stained or dirty from everyday use, to get your bag looking as good as new, follow the guidelines below for the best possible result.
For our silk bags: Because the material is quite delicate, we suggest you to use liquid soap eg stergene or fairy liquid and some water to remove any stain.
Our canvas bags are washable. So you can clean it with soap and water easily when they get dirty.
For the coloured canvas bags with suede stitched on, (NOT the cream / white version) the suede and nubuck cleaner spray from Timpson can do a perfect job for you. However, it is better if you use the sponge with some water to make the bags a bit wet before putting the spray on. Then use a soft brush (eg. toothbrush) to clean the foam away. The spray can be easily purchase from any of your local Timpson shop or from Timpson website http://www.timpson.co.uk/shop/c/20/shoe-care/s/149/leather-treatments/g/330/aerosols/p/975/suede,-nubuck-and-fabric-cleaner
For the cream / white canvas and suede applique bag you can use Timpson's suede and nubuck cleaning block which brings the suede up to its original state. The block can be purchased from Timpson shop or from Timpson website http://www.timpson.com/shop/c/20/shoe-care/s/150/shoe-accessories/g/337/brushes/p/929/suede-cleaner-block
Customer Tip: One of our customers gave us this tip which we have tried out ourselves after hearing it - if your bag is very dirty, you can try putting it in the washing machine at 30 degrees on a gentle wash. We put fabric conditioner in as well as detergent and the suede remained in good condition. Our customer turned hers inside out to wash it, but we found that it was better to leave it the right way out as there was less chance of colour transfer from the vertical stripes. We do not recommend washing other garments at the same time! We tried it on both the cream and coloured bags and were very pleased with the results.
